LENA TAYLOR is a State Senator, representing the 4th District of Wisconsin. She is the second African American woman to serve in the Wisconsin Senate. Ms. Taylor served in the State Assembly from May 2003 until she was sworn-in as a senator in 2005. She is an attorney with her own law practice. Ms. Taylor was born and raised in Milwaukee County. She and her eight-year-old son, Isaiah, live in Milwaukee on the same block where she grew up as a child.
SCOTT WALKER, Milwaukee County Executive since 2002, was born in Colorado but moved with his family to Delavan, Wisconsin in 1977. Ten years later, Mr. Walker came to Milwaukee to attend college. He began his political career in 1993 when he won a State Assembly special election. He continued to serve in the Assembly until the Milwaukee County pension scandal broke and he decided to run for County Executive. Mr. Walker and his wife, Tonette, live in Wauwatosa with their two sons, Matt and Alex.
