A discussion of her new book, “Misdemeanorland: Criminal Courts and Social Control in an Age of Broken Windows Policing,” and its relevance to the Milwaukee and Wisconsin criminal justice systems.A Milwaukee native, Kohler-Hausmann is an Associate Professor of law at Yale Law School with a secondary appointment in sociology. She has become recognized for her work in misdemeanor arrests and parole in New York.
